In his third term in
City Council, Ken Willis will continue to build a strong future
for Upland:

Ensure police and fire have the training and resources
needed to protect the citizens of Upland.

Maintain water quality and quantity standards through
conservation, recycling and ground water storage programs.

Revitalize our Town Center into an exciting,
revenue-generating gem for the city.

Expand and enhance the services of our parks, libraries and
community centers.

Support after-school youth programs that focus on recreation
and academics.

Help our senior services grow to meet the needs of our
greatest generation.

Promote a “solar initiative” that promotes access to
affordable solar electricity for Upland residents.
Serving on the council since
2000, Ken Willis has worked hard to restore confidence, openness and
accountability in Upland city government:

Pushed for fiscally responsible government with balanced budgets and
added reserves.

Worked to retain local control of police and fire.
-
Helped to spearhead a new fire station and life-saving paramedics
program.

Works
tirelessly to promote and protect Uplands water resources.

Helped secure more than $18 million in federal and state grants for
water protection and flood-control improvements.

Worked to encourage the development of a commercial tax base that
affords jobs and new businesses to Upland.

Rebuilt roads, streets and sidewalks and improved flood control.

regulations to protect enterprise funds from unauthorized uses
